Heather Lantz, Daughter of My Best Childhood Friend, Named C&A HS Volunteer of the Month

I was thrilled to learn that Heather Lantz, the daughter of my best childhood friend, Diane Hemstock, has been named volunteer of the month at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society in Alberta, Canada.

Heather was unaware that Tellington TTouch® included work with companion animals! When she started working with some very abused dogs she found out about my book, Getting In TTouch With Your Dog and started studying and working. I was delighted to share several long discussions and tips for success with Heather. She has had great success and is planning to start our dog practitioner training next year.

Here is the announcement of Heather’s success:

Our volunteer of the month for August is Heather Lantz.
Heather volunteered with us in a number of years ago and has just recently returned to the CAHS and she has made quite an impact! Initially she came in helped out in various roles using her organizational skills to help us declutter. She joined our Camp Pittie Bootcamp volunteers and truly found her calling. Heather was paired with Thea and welcomed her into her home to increase her ability to work with her on her fear issues. She created a scrapbook of all of Thea’s milestones as she learned to be comfortable in the outside world, taking joy in each step forward no matter how small. Once Thea was adopted she shared her time and skills with Thea’s siblings Jack & Cera; taking them out for day hikes and exposing them to the world with a firm but loving hand.

Heather has truly been an angel to these dogs and a valuable addition to our volunteer team! Thank you Heather!

It is absolutely wonderful to welcome Heather, a member of my family, to the Tellington TTouch fold. Hooray for Heather!
